This picture can only mean two things – either Vanessa Hudgens has decided that wearing a bikini top is pointless because most people have already seen her breasts on the internet or she’s suffering some sort of wardrobe malfunction.

And although we love the idea of the High School Musical star strutting around in no clothes because everyone has seen her naked form, the movement in her hair indicates that this was a cheeky wardrobe malfunction.

While doing that long walk into the sea (you know, the one where it feels like everyone is staring at the cellulite on your thighs as you trot towards the ocean, breathing in with all your might), the clasp on Vanessa’s bikini decided it would be a good time to snap open, with her straps whipping around and exposing her boobs to the world.

Fortunately (for her, not so much for us), Vanessa felt the tribal-patterned bikini giving way and managed to cup her hands over her modesty before a single snapper got a picture. Nice work, Hudgens. The brunette actress has been ‘working’ in Hawaii with boyfriend Austin Butler for the last 10 days, promoting her new film Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

And given that we’ve never heard of that movie before, the promotion clearly isn’t working. However, we have an idea – why not just stamp the name and release date of the flick on Vanessa’s arse? Everyone will be watching the comedy/horror/adventure film before long. You’re welcome – that’ll be seven million pounds please Mr Director Man.

Vanessa Hudgens has revealed that she is auctioning off the dress she wore to the ‘2011 Mtv Video Music Awards’ to raise cash for a cancer charity. Bidding for the silk Candie’s Couture gown began on Monday and the auction will continue on eBay until 2 February. All proceeds from the sale will go to ‘Stand Up To Cancer’.

“I am proud to continue to support Stand Up To Cancer and all the incredible work they do. Cancer touches all of our lives in some way and I am honoured to donate this gorgeous Candie’s Couture gown to help to raise funds and awareness for this important initiative,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

The lead actors of ”Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens were forced to admit their dating past during an interview with an Australian “Today” morning show, thehuffingtonpost.com reported Jan. 17.

Hutcherson and Fil-Am Hudgens shot each other an awkward glance after they were asked about their romantic past. The interview felt off particularly because the former “High School Musical” star is now publicly dating actor Austin Butler. Online reports about the situation called the moment “cringe-worthy” for both actors who obviously searched each other for the right words to say.

After the brief uncomfortable silence, Hutcherson managed to answer: “We’re not [dating now]. We were at one point, but she broke my heart. No, I’m just kidding. That was a while ago. We’re really good friends now.”

From edgier film forays (“Bandslam,” “Sucker Punch”), Hudgens now returned to a more wholesome part via “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island,” the sequel to 2008’s blockbuster “Journey to the Center of the Earth.”

Hudgens plays island girl Kailani in the action-adventure. “[My character] kind of gets sucked into this adventure against her will, but through Sean (Hutcherson) she opens up her heart because she’s really ruled by her head,” she said in an e-mailed statement from the movie’s local distributor Warner Bros. Pictures.

While they were filming the New Line Cinema offering, Hutcherson said Hudgens kept singing and dancing off camera. He revealed, “She’s always dancing,” to which Hudgens supplied, “And singing.”

Being the only girl in the main cast that also includes Dwayne Johnson and Michael Caine, Hudgens took it upon herself to look after her co-stars. “So, it’s my job to look out for the boys. It’s awesome. I mean everybody’s so amazing. I really get along with the guys.”

Off-screen romance translated to on-screen rapport for the young actors despite the opposite characters they play. “Kailani is tough because she has to be. She looks after her father. She’s also very outspoken,” said Hudgens.

“Sean is a dreamer and Kailani is far more practical. He wants her to get into the spirit of this great quest but she’s just focused on the risks,” told Hutcherson. “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” opens across the Philippines on Thursday, Feb. 2 in IMAX 3D, Digital 3D and regular cinemas.

The "High School Musical" hottie wore a black and white beach cover as she gazed from the shoreline while her swimsuit-clad beau hopped on a paddleboard and took to the Pacific Ocean waters before making his way back to dry land to lunch with his lady.

Making the trip to Hawaii as Miss Hudgens continues forth on her "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" press tour, Vanessa previously visited Australia for her film's Melbourne and Sydney premieres. During the stay, the 23-year-old was asked by Aussie press whether life is quieter now that she's left "High School Musical" behind. To this, Hudgens replied, "There's definitely not as much high-pitched screaming any more, which I'm good with."

That may be true. Of course there were paparazzi back in the big studio days as well. But the pics they snapped were confined to the print media, the newspapers and the so-called movie magazines that were the Internet of their day. Nevertheless, Vanessa Hudgens has a point. With the Internet, celebrities' movements, indiscretions, and even thoughts are now made instantly accessible to millions of people all over the world.

Of course, the tug of war between celebrities and the paparazzi who "prey" on them is a two-way street. Sometimes, the stars set themselves up for the paps by flaunting what should be their private lives in public. Stepping out for a photocall, Vanessa Hudgens was spotted at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. The “Sucker Punch” starlet was joined by costar Josh Hutcherson as she promoted her brand new movie “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.”

And it seems that Miss Hudgens had to sacrifice herself for her art on the set of the film as she sustained an injury while filming. “We were shooting a scene down on the beach and there were lava rocks everywhere. I was walking backwards. Very smart! Before I knew I was on the floor. I got up and brushed it off like nothing happened and then later on someone pointed at my leg and said, ‘Is that real blood or fake blood?’ Now I have a beautiful scar to show for it. We’ll always remember this movie. It’ll always be a part of me.”
