Vanessa Hudgens sheds her adolescent star visualization wearing fishnet tights several days consecutively: She rose to fame in the hit Disney movie franchise High School Musical. But Vanessa Hudgens appears to be going out of her way to outgrow her teen queen image. The 22-year-old star amped up the sexy yesterday as she donned a pair of fishnet stockings for the second day in a row.

The actress paired the risqué leg wear with a short cocktail dress under a black coat paired with towering strappy platform heels as she strolled the stored on New York's famed Madison Avenue. Just the day before Vanessa wore the same tights and stilettos with a hot pink dress for an appearance on the The Late Show with David Letterman. 

During her appearance on the show Vanessa talked to the veteran chat show host about getting her first tattoo. She said: 'It was very last minute, but I've actually wanted it for years. A butterfly landed on my mum's stomach a week before I was born and that's how I got my name, because Vanessa means butterfly - it's a Latin derivative. 'It's my very first tattoo, and I kind of feel like a badass now.

The actress appeared on the show to promote her new movie Beastly, in which she stars with British actor Alex Pettyfer and Mary-Kate Olson in the revised Beauty and the Beast story set in a New York high school.

Talking about the film recently, Vanessa said: 'It's really important to stand for what you believe in, and this message is definitely something that's very strong and close to my heart. 'But I think the main thing always is to develop the character, develop a real person with depth and emotions, and to have it come from a personal place.'
